As a native of Florence, Alabama, Attorney Ashley Feltman is familiar with the Shoals community and considers it a privilege to call the Shoals area home.
Ashley attended the University of North Alabama for two years, where she was a Lionette in the Pride of Dixie Marching Band. Thereafter, Ashley transferred to the University of Alabama, where she was involved in the football recruitment program and a staff writer for The Crimson White newspaper. After completing undergraduate school at the University of Alabama, Ashley worked in law enforcement as a communications officer. This law enforcement experience aids in her understanding and success in criminal defense work.
Honored with a scholarship, Ashley attended law school at Samford's Cumberland School of Law in Birmingham, Alabama. During law school, Ashley was heavily involved in trial competitions, both intraschool and on Cumberland's nationally-ranked trial team. Ashley was also a member of the arbitration team and an executive member of Cumberland's Trial Board. During law school, Ashley received the Scholar of Merit award for Advanced Writing, received the top grade in Advanced Trial Skills and Advocacy, and was honored as a member of the Dean's List. The skills gained through her experiences at Cumberland School of Law helped Ashley develop her skills as a trial attorney.
During law school, Ashley clerked for two prestigious personal injury firms in Birmingham, Alabama. Her law clerk experience greatly prepared her to enter the courtroom prepared to fight for her clients.
Advocating and writing have always been Ashley's passion. As a younger attorney, Ashley is well-versed with current legal technology. As a practicing attorney, Ashley is ready to use the skills and knowledge she has learned to bring her clients success.
Ashley is in general practice with focuses in divorce and family law, criminal defense, wills and estates, and civil litigation.
Ashley is a certified Guardian ad Litem. She is the Vice President of the Lauderdale County Bar Association, a member of the Alabama Criminal Defense Lawyer's Association, and the Family Law Section of the Alabama State Bar.
Ashley is married to her husband, Jacob. They have two sweet daughters and a playful dog named Milly.
